Meet our new Pastor & Family

Rev. Merlindo M. Delos Reyes, M.Div  
Ordained Elder, United Methodist Church  

Rev. Merlindo
M. Delos Reyes is a distinguished servant of the Church and an Ordained Elder
of the United Methodist Church, and a full member of the West Middle
Philippines Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Born on September
1, 1967, he has devoted his life to Christian ministry, firmly grounded in
mission and discipleship in obedience to the Great Commission as found in
Matthew 28:19-20.

He earned a Bachelors of Arts, major in Theology from Wesleyan
University Philippines in Cabanatuan City, where he was recognized as an
Academic Excellence Awardee. He further pursued theological studies at Union
Theological Seminary in Dasmariñas, Cavite, where he obtained his Master of
Divinity degree with honors in 1996. As part of his ministerial formation he
participated in cross-cultural fieldwork in the United States, gaining valuable
exposure to various ministries, including; hospitals, hospice care, homes for
the aged, and United Methodist camps and retreat centers.

Rev. Delos Reyes was ordained an Elder in 1998 in Porac, Pampanga. Over more
than three decades of faithful service, he has served as Administrative Pastor
in several local churches in Bataan, including Pilar UMC, Morong UMC, Cabcaben
UMC (with circuit), Mt. Sinai UMC, Bethel UMC, Trinity UMC in Samal (with circuit),
and Orani UMC. In each appointment, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership in
pastoral care, preaching, teaching, and nurturing the spiritual growth of the
congregation.

From 2019 to 2025, he served as District Superintendent of the Bataan District, where he
provided spiritual oversight to the local churches. His responsibilities
included setting the spiritual direction of the district, presiding over Charge
Conferences, and working closely with the bishop in supervising and appointing
pastors.

In addition to his pastoral and administrative roles, Rev. Delos Reyes has actively
contributed to wider ministry of the Church. He served as Registrar of the
Board of Ordained Ministry from 2002 to 2018 and as its Chairman from 2018 to
2019. He has also represented the Church as a delegate to several General
Conferences of the United Methodist Church, held in Fort Worth, Texas; Tampa,
Florida; and Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, reflecting his active
participation in the global mission of the Church.

On a personal front, Rev. Delos Reyes is
married to Catalina Lintag-Delos Reyes, and they are blessed with four
children: Merca Aquila, Micaela Joy, Meriella, and Melina Kim. He currently
resides in Samal, Bataan, where he continues to faithfully live out his calling
as a servant of God and shepherd of his people.

Overall Rev. Merlindo M. Delos Reyes is widely recognized as a dedicated,
faithful, and humble servant of the Church, committed to proclaiming the Gospel
and strengthening the faith of the communities he serves.
